To ensure you can feel happy that the whole vehicle offers a strict form of safety for your children relating to the seat belts, you must ensure the following:- That the seat belts have been tested and comply with European Directives EEC 77/541 and ECE 16:04 (Both as amended) That the strength of the seats containing the seat belt anchorages, have been tested and comply with European Directives EEC/76/115 and ECE 14:03 (Both as amended) And most importantly, that the securing of the seats to the vehicle is also in compliance with the same strength test as European Directives EEC/76/115 and ECE 14:03 (Both as amended) The only way that all of the above requirements can be met is to conduct the test with the seats mounted in the vehicle, so that all aspects of the securing of the belts and the seats may be tested. Retro-Fitting Seat Belts To An Existing MinibusIf you currently have a minibus that you wish to upgrade, then you must adhere to the recommendations stated opposite.
